[Eat a long, a long wisdom] Engineer story sharing

2018.07.13

Editor's note

Engineers entering the workplace inevitably make mistakes of one kind or another in their work. They have carelessness and inexperience, so they continue to learn and grow in ignorance. Every wrong experience is an invaluable asset for engineers. In this special topic, we have compiled some of the personal experiences and experiences of some engineers for "eating one wise, one wise," for the reference of colleagues. "Things of previous generations, teachers of later generations" can make you take less detours.

Wisdom sharing
  • I joined the work for the first year, because the copper nose was too long when the copper nose was mounted on the large motor, and the cable was relatively thick. It was really bad in the junction box, and it took a lot of effort. I thought it was tightened at that time. The terminals and cables became hot, the terminals became soft, and the screws on the terminals were loosened, causing sparks and the motor almost burned.

  • I thought that when the WIFI module was used as a client, the automatic channel selection would detect the AP's channel and automatically adjust it to be the same as the AP's channel. It could not be realized originally. Maybe the module I bought didn't have enough functions and was too low-end.

  • I was a violent boy 20 years ago. Because of the legend that electricians work easily, I study hard and look forward to serving. Huang Tian deserves a caring person, the electrician teacher of the friend unit retires, lacks an apprentice, and asks me to get pregnant.

  • Early in the morning, I saw the situation reported by the operators in the operation group of the water plant, saying that the feedback signal of the pneumatic regulating valve was zero, but the valve has not been closed. I rushed to the scene to check, and the screen of the regulating valve did not light up.

  • Recently, colleagues of the company designed several PLC control cabinets. Due to the company's consideration of cost, it did not reserve 20% spare points according to user requirements. The number of reserved points is very small. One of the cabinets has only one digital input point and the other one is DO. There are only two, and now the question comes.

  • As a technical staff, most of the time stay in the office, less time to go to the first-line workshop, so often they have low eyes, low theory, no theory.

  • A few days ago, there was an accident at the constant pressure water supply project of the waterworks. The transmitter was damaged and the pressure signal was lost. The PID was out of control and caused the water supply pressure to be too high. This caused a pipe burst in the urban pipeline. 0.6MP broke the tube, but I also have an inescapable responsibility for the program.

  • I just went to work in a state-owned enterprise and was arranged to work as an intern electrician in a spray shop. Although I have seen some knowledge of common equipment used by electricians in the book, it is really unclear which one is a knife switch and which is a circuit breaker when I walk into the actual work site. The electrician's squad leader asked to switch off the power after work. For the first time, he did not know what the circuit breaker looked like. This also laid the groundwork for later accident hazards.

  • I remember one time the company arranged to debug a petroleum coke delivery system in Yunnan. The program was written by the project manager. I was arranged to test the machine on the site. When the logic was run to the top of the silo, the entire interlock suddenly stopped running. Triggered by someone, it was thought at that time that the equipment stopped abnormally on the scene.

  • A few days ago, two colleagues assembled a 125 hp inverter. According to the assembly work standard book, the upper board (CPU board + driver board + power board + signal conversion board, etc.) was measured as OK first. It mainly measures the driving output waveform of the driver board, the forward and reverse terminal control and the 50 Hz operation status.

  • As a member of the industrial control, when I talked about the topic of "eating a meal, growing a wisdom", I couldn't help but see the scar on my left arm, and my thoughts returned to the spring of 2015.

  • One day, something went wrong with the grinder, and the electrician went to repair it. At that time, as an intern electrician, I followed the masters. At that time, I didn't understand anything. I heard the masters said that the board of the CNC machine tool was broken. Send the board to Testing in Beijing.

  • I once did a truss project with a truss length of about 13m and a total of five Yaskawa servos. In the early selection, the candidate cable encoder cable leader selected 20-core twisted-pair shielded wires. One servo uses six wires. When wiring, one of the three servos uses one and the other two use one. Yes, they are all special cables for high-flexible towline.

  • Speaking of high-power inverter assembly, when I first entered the company, I also participated in assembly testing to familiarize myself with the product production process. I remember just a few months after entering the company, in the production line to assist a master to assemble a 100KW power, the warehouse staff has issued all the materials required for product assembly (here only limited to the hardware part).
