The project aims to automate and upgrade a well-known shoe material production factory in China, and to replace workers with automated equipment for repeated, long-distance transportation. The transportation lines covered by this project include raw material area to production line, processing area, and finished product line to storage area. The transportation scene involved is a mobile cage car. When the raw materials are put on the line and the finished products are stored in the warehouse, a long aisle is required, and the production area and the warehouse area belong to different floors. Therefore, the elevator needs to be used to transport across floors.
After onsite investigation and scheme design, Longbo Technology provided an AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) -based autonomous transportation solution for the factory's current transportation environment and existing transportation tools. Workers call AMR through remote call boxes or handheld tablets, and AMR completes the automated transportation of raw materials and finished products by towing a cage truck. During this period, AMR can flexibly operate in the area of worker activity, without the need to divide independent operating areas, and can communicate with elevators to complete autonomous cross-layer material transportation.
The successful implementation of the project has greatly enhanced the factory's level of automation and informatization, liberating workers from long-distance handling, not only strengthening the safety of workers, but also enabling workers to focus on more valuable work. In addition, the transportation efficiency of AMR is much greater than that of people, and it can work 7 * 24 without interruption to reduce costs and increase efficiency for enterprises.
The AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) used in this project is based on map positioning and navigation. It does not require traditional beacons such as magnetic stripes and two-dimensional codes for feature positioning, so it is very suitable for deployment of large-scale complex scenes. In addition, AMR also has the ability to sense the environment in depth and avoid obstacles autonomously, enabling human-machine collaboration in dynamic and complex environments.
